There are things that are considered a must-have when it comes to models. So if you are new to the modeling industry, you might probably make sure that you always have this on your bag.
1. Book
This ‘book’ is the model’s portfolio. Your photos and company cards should be included in the book and that’s it. No personal contact details or notes so that it would look clean and neat.
When we also say book, we can literally mean book as well. Since as we know, modeling requires a lot of time waiting to get everything done. So, as you wait for your turn, you may open your book and open a chapter or two to prevent getting bored.
2. Black or skin-toned colored undergarments
A variety of undergarment types should always be present in your kit. You should have a stash of a pushup or strapless bras, thongs, and stockings. But sometimes a client would request for you to wear their undergarments. So make sure to bring panty liners since there’s a chance you will be wearing underwear that is not yours.
For male models, a white and black shirt and tanks should always be on their bag just in case they need it during the shoot. They can also have a variety of undergarments such as boxer, low-rise, or just simple boxer briefs.
3. Snacks and Water
It is important for a model to have a prepared snack inside their models’ bag. Some of the shoots or runway walks may go on and take much longer not as what you expected. Starving in the middle of work is not healthy. Make sure that you are able to prepare snacks but also keep in mind to bring ones that would not smell or stink around the backstage area.
